Description:
A highly collectible single-cask release from The GlenDronach Distillery, distilled in 1990 and matured for 23 years in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon.

According to the bottle label, this whisky was distilled on 5 September 1990 and bottled in October 2013 after 23 years of maturation. It was drawn from Pedro Ximénez Sherry Puncheon Cask No. 1240.

This particular release was “Selected and Bottled Exclusively for the UK”, making it a UK-exclusive GlenDronach Single Cask bottling.

The bottle is individually numbered 594/647, indicating an outturn of 647 bottles from the cask.

Bottled at 50.8% ABV in a 700ml format, this release is presented as a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The original presentation tube states Non Chill Filtered / Natural Colour.

The whisky displays an exceptionally deep, dark mahogany-brown colour characteristic of heavily sherried long-matured GlenDronach single-cask releases. Despite the extremely dark colour of the whisky in the main body of the bottle, the liquid level is visible through the neck and appears to sit at a good level from the supplied photographs.

The bottle appears unopened and retains its original brown GlenDronach capsule. Original GlenDronach Single Cask neck tags remain attached by the gold-coloured cord.

The front labels are clearly legible and display the important cask information, including the distillation date, bottling date, age, cask type, cask number, bottle number and alcoholic strength. Minor age/storage-related marks may be present.

The rear label identifies the bottle as “The GlenDronach Single Cask 1990 Cask No. 1240” and again states that it was selected and bottled exclusively for the UK. A Japanese importer label is attached beneath the rear label.
