Description

A rare Suntory The Owner’s Cask single cask whisky from Yamazaki Distillery, distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2005.

The front label reads “The Owner’s Cask / SUNTORY SINGLE CASK WHISKY / Yamazaki Distillery 1992” and identifies this bottle as a special release commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Tokyo Suntory Association.

According to the label, the whisky was distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2005 from a Sherry Butt, at 51% ABV, in a 700ml bottle.

The Owner’s Cask series consisted of individually selected casks bottled as single-cask releases. This particular bottle was produced as a commemorative Owner’s Cask rather than as part of Suntory’s standard retail range.

The whisky has a very deep dark amber to mahogany appearance.

A handwritten number appearing to read “213002” can be seen near the bottom of the front label. A Yamazaki Distillery stamp is also visible.

The bottle features embossed “SUNTORY SINGLE MALT WHISKY” lettering.

Condition

The bottle appears to be unopened based on the photographs.

The fill level is visible in the neck, with some headspace present. Due to the age of the bottle, some natural evaporation may have occurred.

The original presentation box is included. The box shows age-related wear, including discoloration, marks, scuffs, corner wear and some tearing/damage.
