This commemorative bottle was specially released by Suntory in 1970 to celebrate the Japan World Exposition (Expo ’70) held in Osaka — a historic event that symbolized Japan’s postwar rebirth and technological optimism.

The decanter design, inspired by the Suntory Pavilion architecture, embodies the futuristic vision of the era. Inside is a blend featuring malt from Yamazaki Distillery, harmoniously combined with select grain whiskies to achieve a smooth, mellow flavor profile.

Aromas of honey, dried fruit, and light oak lead to a soft palate of caramel and subtle smoke, finishing with the gentle sweetness characteristic of classic Suntory blends.

Due to its historical significance and elegant bottle design, this release has become one of the most collectible vintage Suntory commemorative whiskies.

解説：
1970年の大阪万博開催を記念して発売された特別限定ボトル。
当時のサントリーパビリオンをモチーフにした独創的なボトルデザインで、
金色の化粧箱とともに日本の高度経済成長期を象徴する逸品。

中身は山崎モルトを中心としたブレンデッド原酒で、
蜂蜜やドライフルーツの甘い香りに、キャラメルや柔らかなオークの余韻が重なる。
まろやかで優しい味わいは、昭和のサントリー黄金期を象徴している。

外箱には経年による傷みが見られるが、ボトル・液面・ラベルともに非常に良好。
日本万博関連ボトルの中でも特に人気の高い一本で、
