Description

A rare Suntory The Owner’s Cask single cask whisky from Hakushu Distillery, distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2009.

The distinctive private label reads 「富士山を世界文化遺産へ」 No.3, meaning approximately “Mt. Fuji to World Cultural Heritage” No.3.

This is particularly interesting in historical context, as the label predates Mt. Fuji’s eventual inscription on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2013.

The bottle and accompanying Owner’s Cask certificate identify the whisky as 1997 Hakushu Distillery, Cask No. BD40259.

Condition

The front and rear labels appear generally well preserved, with minor age-related marks and handling wear visible.

The whisky has a clear golden/amber appearance. The fill level appears good for its age.

The original Owner’s Cask certificate/information sheet is included and shows light age-related handling and creasing.
