An ultra-rare bottling from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS), Cask No. 119.3, produced from a Japanese distillery believed to be Hakushu.
Distilled in April 1993 and bottled in June 2003 at natural cask strength of 56.2%, aged for 10 years.
This was among the earliest Japanese whiskies ever bottled by the SMWS, and one of only a handful released under the “Japanese Malt Whisky” designation.
The tasting note “Soft fudge and angelica” perfectly captures its balance between gentle oak sweetness, herbal freshness, and creamy malt character.
A genuine collector’s treasure that rarely surfaces on the market today.

スコッチモルトウイスキーソサエティ（SMWS）が2000年代初頭にボトリングした、極めて希少な“ジャパニーズ・シングルモルト”。
おそらく山梨県・白州蒸溜所の原酒で、1993年蒸留・2003年ボトリングの10年熟成。
56.2%のカスクストレングス仕様で、ラベルには「Soft fudge and angelica」と記され、柔らかいファッジの甘みと和ハーブのような上品な香りを表現。
SMWSが手がけた初期の日本原酒シリーズとして、世界的にも極めて入手困難な1本。
現在はコレクターズアイテムとしてオークション市場でも高騰中。
