The Taketsuru 17 Years Old is one of Nikka’s most celebrated expressions, crafted as a tribute to Masataka Taketsuru, the founding father of Japanese whisky.
A harmonious blend of rich Yoichi malt and elegant Miyagikyo malt, this whisky exemplifies the perfect balance between strength and sophistication.

Winner of multiple World Whiskies Awards, the 17-Year-Old offers a complex nose of sherry sweetness, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and dried fruit, followed by a smooth palate of oak spice, caramel, and subtle peat smoke.
The finish is long, warm, and perfectly rounded — a hallmark of Nikka’s golden era of craftsmanship.

Discontinued in 2020 due to shortage of aged stock, this expression has become highly collectible and is regarded as a benchmark in Japanese malt whisky history.
