A rare 31-year-old single cask from the legendary Karuizawa distillery, bottled for La Maison du Whisky as part of the “Prenez le rythme” art series.
Distilled in 1981 and matured in a sherry butt, this release showcases the distillery’s iconic style—dark, concentrated sherry influence with immense power and depth.

On the nose, dense aromas of black raisins, lacquered wood, rich molasses, dried figs, cocoa, and elegant old-oak spice rise immediately.
The palate is intense and multilayered: heavy sherry sweetness, dark chocolate, espresso, prune compote, and tannic oak structure, carried by the natural strength of 60.5%.
The finish is exceptionally long, combining dark fruit, polished wood, spice, and the signature gravitas of vintage Karuizawa.

One of the most collectible series among Karuizawa releases—highly sought after worldwide.

味わいは濃密なシェリー、ダークチョコレート、プルーン、エスプレッソ、熟成オークの渋みが重なり、60.5%のパワフルなボディが支える。
余韻は非常に長く、黒い果実、研ぎ澄まされたウッド、スパイスが深く続く。
