【About Imperial】
Imperial was a Speyside single malt distillery founded in 1897 and located in Carron, near Aberlour.
The distillery ceased production in 1998, was officially closed in 2005 following Pernod Ricard’s acquisition of Allied Domecq, and was later demolished in 2013.
This 1996 vintage was distilled just two years before the final production halt and matured in a combination of first-fill and refill sherry butts and hogsheads, resulting in a refined, balanced profile with notes of dried fruits, warm spice, roasted nuts, and gentle oak.

【Imperialについて】
1897年創業、スペイサイドのアベラワー近郊キャロンに位置したインペリアル蒸留所は、
1998年に生産を停止、2005年にペルノ・リカールによって正式に閉鎖され、2013年には完全に解体された。
本ボトルはその閉鎖2年前、1996年に蒸留された原酒を使用し、ファーストフィルとリフィルのシェリーバット＆ホグスヘッド樽で熟成。
ドライフルーツやスパイス、ローストナッツ、柔らかなオーク香が調和した、バランスの取れた味わいに仕上がっている。
