A vintage independent bottling of Caol Ila from the renowned London wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd, released as part of its “Berry’s Own Selection” range.

Distilled in 1996 at Caol Ila Distillery on Islay and bottled in 2010 after 14 years of maturation, this release comes from Cask No. 12244 and was bottled at a robust 56.1% ABV.

The front label states “Unchillfiltered – Uncoloured”, while the reverse Japanese label describes the whisky as combining smoky, salty and fruity characteristics, with notes including fruit gum, smoke, green olive and lemon peel.

Of particular interest to collectors, the bottle is marked “Selected for WHISK-E Ltd.”, indicating a release selected for the Japanese market.

The bottle remains unopened. However, the silver capsule around the closure shows clearly visible tearing and damage, with part of the cork exposed. There is also age-related wear/soiling visible on the labels. Please carefully review all photographs for the exact condition.
