Description:

A distinctive 25 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky bottled for the Chichibu Whisky Matsuri, featuring the highly recognizable “Chichibu Whisky Matsuri Band” illustrated label.

According to the front label, this whisky was distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2018 at 25 years of age.

The whisky was matured in a Hogshead, Cask #475, and bottled at a substantial 54.7% ABV in a 700ml format.

The label states an outturn of only 346 bottles, making this a notably limited release.

The bottling is presented at natural colour and is explicitly marked “Unchill-Filtered.”

One of the most striking features of this release is its elaborate multi-section illustrated label. The artwork depicts a band of musicians and singers in a retro-inspired monochrome/sepia style, with “BLENDED MALT SCOTCH WHISKY” and “AGED 25 YEARS” prominently displayed at the top.

Around the central section, the label carries the vintage information “DISTILLED: 1993” and “BOTTLED: 2018,” while the lower portion identifies the Chichibu Whisky Matsuri theme and provides the maturation and bottling specifications.

The whisky itself displays a notably deep amber to mahogany colour in the photographs, giving the bottle a particularly striking appearance.

The bottle appears unopened in the supplied photographs. The gold-coloured capsule remains fitted over the closure.

Importantly, the capsule has a clearly visible split/tear around the upper perforated seam. A small section is lifted, exposing the material beneath. There is also a smaller crease/split visible around the lower neck portion of the capsule. These points are clearly shown in the close-up photographs and should be taken into consideration when assessing condition.

Despite the capsule damage, the photographs do not show the capsule as having been fully removed, and the closure appears to remain in place.
