Description

A.D. Rattray Cask Collection Glen Garioch 20 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Distilled at Glen Garioch Distillery on 9 July 1990 and matured for 20 years in a single bourbon cask before bottling on 9 August 2010.

This individual cask release was bottled at natural cask strength of 56.0% ABV without chill filtration. Only 278 bottles were produced from Cask No. 5878.

The official tasting notes on the rear label describe aromas of soft mocha and creamy chocolate, with a slightly oily palate showing walnuts, marzipan, and fruit cake characteristics.

An excellent example of mature Highland whisky from one of Scotland’s oldest operating distilleries and a desirable bottling from the respected independent bottler A.D. Rattray.

Nose: Soft mocha aromas with creamy Milky Way chocolate.

Palate: Slight oily mouthfeel, walnuts, marzipan-topped fruit cake.

Finish: Long and balanced with mature malt character.
